Sometimes wearing a school uniform can be tiring, especially for girls because of the skirt. I personally am not a fan of wearing tight skirts. There is one particular day where it is not required to wear the school uniform- Wednesday. Wash day Wednesday is created so that students will be able to wash their uniforms and wear it again on Thursday and Friday.
One night in the HUMSS 11-B group chat, someone suggested that we should have a theme for this coming Wednesday which was already tomorrow. The final theme that was agreed upon was that each row had a specific color. 1st row is to wear red then the next row is white, then green, then black and lastly blue. Some didn’t respond in the group chat or even read the group chat which is why I didn’t expect anything on the “Color schemed Wednesday”.
I arrived in school, went in the room and there I saw how colorful the room was. As I was walking towards my chair, which is at the first row I passed by one group that is talking by the wall, wearing blue and across them, a group that wore red and black. As class started, everybody sat in their respective seats, then the color scheme came in to full view. Each row wore its specific color and it was really, really cool. Teachers noticed our theme and would give remarks like ” it’s so nice how your block can be united like this” or even “I wish I was your adviser so I can join your theme”. I actually didn’t expect it because some didn’t respond or even read the group chat. It really blew me away.
This is one of my unforgettable experience this school year because I saw how united our block can be. Although we are different people, with different attitudes and wants, we are still able to agree on certain things. Nobody is perfect and there will always be disagreements and miscommunications; but through that, relationships can be stronger and deeper. We still have some themes during Wednesdays once in a while, but this was one of the Wednesdays I will surely remember and treasure deep in my heart.
